Golf is a sport and requires conditioning not only physically but mentally as well. So you can take your game to the next level and avoid injury. This is true for beginners as well as seasoned players.

My program starts with physical evaluation of each individual which allows me to develop a Training and Nutrition is as specific to the individual as is the golf swing.personalized program that will meet each individual needs Training and Nutrition is as specific to the individual as is the golf swing. Golfers are persistently working to improve their swing, but often tend to neglect the basics of fitness, nutrition and overall wellness. Think about how much better your play would be if you had no pain more energy...less frustration, anxiety, stress and fatigue.

Specific Training for Specific Seasons
The individual's program is centered around their pre-season, and In-season, and off-season. Lack of conditioning and improper nutrition are probably affecting your golf swing and game.

Pre-Season is the time to get ready to play golf. Pre-season program will focus on flexibility, power, balance and cardio. This is the time to create a powerful customize nutrition program that is designed specifically for you. And to address any pain issues that have kept you from excelling in the past.

In-Season is the time that you practice and play more golf.
In-Season is the time that you practice and play more golf. We will focus on maintaining flexibility and improve core stability, keeping you injury free. This is the time for coordinating your movements and feeding the need for speed, resulting in longer more consistent shots. In a split second you must execute your downswing sequence of hips then shoulders then arms then club - consistently with power to improve your game.

Off-Season is the time of year that your program will focus on flexibility, balance and overall strength. Off-Season is the time of year that your program will focus on flexibility, balance and overall strength.
Flexibility will produce force thru a full range of motion, do it at a high rate of speed and under specific levels of fatigue resulting in more power and consistency.

The Golf Fitness Program Consists of:

  • Structural Body Analysis
    This analysis goes through to see how you are structurally aligned, Muscle symmetry and includes Postural Awareness.
  • Cardiovascular Conditioning
    Cardio fitness will become evident during a round of golf. Fatigue will change your swing.
  • Functional Golf Specific Strength Training
    Strengthening not about how much weight you can lift but how your body can produce force during a specific function like the golf swing.
  • Balance, Stability, and Motor Learning Program
    Balance your body from all sides is key to maintaining the proper relationship between your club face and the ball.
  • Plyometrics
    In golf, flexibility plus strength equals power. This type of training involves powerful muscular contractions in response to a rapid stretching of the involved musculature.
  • Core Training
    Core Stability increase your ability to maintain correct alignment throughout the golf swing, repeatedly.
  • Power training
    Power training will train your muscles to contract in an explosive manner and increase club head speed.
  • Functional Flexibility Program
    Flexibility will allow you to move through a great range allowing you to generate greater force.
  • The Art of Breathing
    Correct breathing helps increase flexibility, joint strength and helps you recover faster from stress and exertion so you can move easier.
  • Increasing Mental Focus
    Training your mind to deal more effectively with pressure, while at the same time, programming it for the result you want, rather than the results you are getting.
  • Customized Nutritional Program
    Through biofeedback we are able to conduct a personal health evaluation to understand what is required to restore your body to good health and improve your overall well being. You will be tested to see what foods your body is "stressing" over and then based off of that information, your personalized nutrition plan will be created.
  • Goals and goal setting
    The process of setting goals helps you choose where you want to go with your game. By knowing precisely what you want to achieve, you know where you have to concentrate your efforts. You'll also quickly spot the distractions that would otherwise lure you from your course.
  • Pain management
    Golfing at least several times a week, overuse injuries can occur. Poor conditioning and poor mechanics often lead to an acute injury. Pain management is important for ongoing pain control, especially if you suffer with long-term or chronic pain. After getting a pain assessment, we can then set up pain treatments to help you get pain relief.
  • Body awareness
    We combine mindfulness meditation, emotional intelligence exercises, and movement disciplines such as yoga. To hone your awareness of motor skills in order to produce your efficient golf swing.

 

My ultimate goal is for the athlete to peak and perform throughout his or her competitive season.
